Pam’s Petals opens in Escanaba

ESCANABA — Floral shop Pam’s Petals opened in May at 1208 Ludington St., Escanaba. Owned by Pam and Jason Frossard, the business carries fresh cut flowers, houseplants, Carson’s chimes, candles and other floral supplies.

“We arrange flowers for all occasions — sympathy, wedding/special events and every day. We also deliver to Escanaba, Bark River, Powers, Gladstone, Rapid River and inbetween,” the Frossards said. “We specialize in creating original and custom-designed arrangements as well as traditional arrangements. We pride ourselves on being able to incorporate just about anything into a design. We make specialty bouquets for community events such as ice shows, dance recitals and many more.”

The Frossards are bothe Delta County natives and resie in Ford River Township with their two children. Jason has worked at the local Ford dealership since high school — now Riverside Ford. Pam has had an assortment of jobs throughout the years, but never seemed to find quite where she belonged until starting at Flinn’s Flowers & Garden Center in Escanaba in 2013, where she started as a cashier. When an opportunity arose to learn floral design, she jumped at the chance. In 2015, she became the manager of the floral department until the store closed in the beginning of May 2017, following Wally Flinn’s retirement. Unable to imagine doing anything else for the rest of her life, she decided to open her own floral shop.

“Flowers bring joy to our hearts even in the most difficult of times. The memory will far outlast the life of the flowers — just as a mother will always remember the dandelions picked by their children which they proudly displayed on the table. Pam believes that a piece of you should be in every arrangement, so stop in or call & order that special someone a unique design made especially for them,” the Frossards stated in a press release.

Starting at $3.50/week.
