Munising wins both sides of Bay College High School Invite

FLAT ROCK — Kingsford senior Maria Murvich reached an important milestone here Saturday as she held off Superior Central freshman Edye Burdett for top individual honors in the Bay College High School Invitational cross county meet. Murvich broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time, covering the 3.1-mile course in 19:53.8 on this sunny and warm day. “It’s like a weight being lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “I finally got it.
