Superior Central’s Edye Burdett sets course record at Superior Central Invite

EBEN JUNCTION — Edye Burdett may only be a freshman, but she has already achieved some important milestones as a cross country runner at Superior Central. Not only did Burdett win the Superior Central Invitational here Saturday, she tied the course record which she now shares with Ewen-Trout Creek senior Bree Besonen. GLADSTONE — It was a tough home opener for the Gladstone Braves here Friday night as they dropped a 35-0 football decision to the Kingsford Flivvers. The Braves simply didn’t have an answer for senior quarterback Blake Tomasoski, who ran seven times for 191 yards and four touchdowns in this WestPAC-Copper Conference contest.
