WINNER:
Kyle Waterman, QB, Negaunee
8 for 9 passing for 2 TD, 1 TD rushing. Coach Niemi mentioned 'Kyle only had one incompletion and that was because he was hit on the throw due to a break down in pass protection. Played with great poise and control throughout a tough game against a very good team in Marquette'
Honorable Mention:
Nolan Euleau, QB, Stephenson
12 for 14 passing for 256 yards, 4 TD's. 14 rushes for 200 yards, 4 TD's 4 2pt conversions. Coach mentioned 'Nolan is a hardworking, humble young man who has grown into a leader who will do anything for the team.'
Brayden Kassin, QB, Iron Mountain
13 for 16 Passing 198 Yards 3 Touchdown Passes 60 yards rushing and 2 Rushing Touchdowns. Coach Johnson mentioned 'Excellent game from a senior Quarterback. Made plays with his feet extending plays and converting when nothing was there for us. 13 for 16 passing is pretty dang good.'
Karl Andrews, RB/LB, Gladstone.
1 reception for 11 yards and 2 tackles, Coach Canoot mentioned 'Karl reacted instantly and decisively. When the snap rocketed between the backfield and the opponent scooped up the loose ball, the play looked lost and they were going to score. But after completing his route on the far side of the field, Karl recognized the breakdown, stopped his route, and exploded into pursuit. He accelerated past players from both teams, covering nearly 50 yards at full speed before making a clean, form‑sound tackle that prevented a major momentum swing in the game. It was a textbook example of awareness, effort, and finishing the play to the whistle. The play of the game in my mind!'
Kaleb Lapine, QB, Norway
11 Carry's for 248 yards 5 touchdowns 5/8 Passing for 148 yards and 1 Touchdown. Coach Mendina mentioned 'Kaleb had a great all purpose game against Munising. He scored all of our offensive touchdowns rushing and threw for our lone touchdown pass.'
