ESCANABA -- With the Ball College volleyball season in full swing we have another Meet the Athlete. The Norse sit at 8-5 on the season and have won eight of their last nine matches. Today we introduce freshmen setter Mary Kate Tourangeau.
Adam Hinch: So Mary Kate how exciting is it to be here at Bay College this season?
Mary Kate Tourangeau: It's really exciting. I'm happy to be after last season didn't go the way I wanted it to.
AH: What field are you studying in here at Bay?
MKT: I am looking to go into business.
AH: When did you start playing volleyball?
MKT: I started playing around sixth grade.
AH: What made the sport so appealing?
MKT: I like the energy and pace and comradery with teammates.
AH: What do you like to do away from volleyball?
MKT: I like to go for a nice drive or a walk.
AH: What is your favorite food?
MKT: Pizza.
AH: Does pineapple belong on pizza?
MKT: Absolutely.
AH: What is your favorite soft drink?
MKT: I like root beer?
AH: If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go?
MKT: I would love to go to Greece.
AH: What is your go to cookout food?
MKT: I like hot dogs.
AH: What area of business are you looking at?
MKT: I would like to get into real estate.
AH: What was the biggest reason to choose Bay College?
MKT: I get to be close to home and play a sport that I love.
