The UP Sports Hall of Fame Council has announced a vacancy on its 23-member board and is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position. Given that Council strives to have members from every county across the Upper Peninsula, it is seeking candidates from Schoolcraft or neighboring Delta County at this time.
Council members are volunteers who meet annually each July to conduct the business of the UPSHF and select the ten inductees for entrance into the UP Sports Hall of Fame. Council members are required to attend the Induction Banquet (May) and the annual Council meeting in July, and as well as sit on various committees.
Interested candidates should submit a one page letter of experience and interest, as well as the skills they would bring to the Council. Letters should be emailed to Dee Jay Paquette at paquettedeejay@gmail.com, or mailed to him at P.O. Box 833, Munising MI 49862. Applications must be submitted by September 11, 2026.
