BARK RIVER -- The excitement continued on Saturday and Sunday at the 50th Annual Island Resort and Casino Off-Road Rumble in the U.P. at Bark River International Raceway.

The four-day event drew more than 21,000 people with great bands and fireworks and a great racing program.

“We probable won’t have a four-day weekend again as it was kind of a one time thing for our 50th Anniversary,” Track President, Scott Kwarciany said. “We had the long jump back this year for the first time in 20 years but it gave us the chance to have a throw back weekend and represent the raceway with the nostalgia of the event here.”

The Crandon Raceway came and recognized the track as the second track to provide off-road racing for 50 years.

“It’s a proud moment for the track the Lions’s Club and all our sponsors supporters fans and drivers,” Kwarciary said. “Now we review this year and get on to putting together next year’s show.”
