SANDS -- As Sands Speedway continues its second half of the season this week's Meet the Driver is Late Model driver Evan Hawley.
Adam Hinch: Evan, when did you start racing?
Evan Hawley: I started in the fuel injected class when I was 12.
AH: What do you like to do in your spare time away from racing?
EH: I work with my dad pouring concrete and drive anything I can get my hands on.
AH: What is your favorite football team?
EH: The Green Bay Packers.
AH: What is your favorite NASCAR driver?
EH: Richard Petty.
AH: What is your favorite barbecue food?
EH: Steak and Chicken.
AH: What track would you like to race at that you haven't yet.
EH: With the super late model class I would go to New Smyrna and for NASCAR it would be Daytona.
AH: What is your favorite soda?
EH: Coke and Fanta.
AH: Are you a pizza guy?
EH: Oh yeah.
AH: Does Pineapple belong on pizza?
EH: No.
AH: What is your favorite pizza?
EH: A meat lovers of any kind.
AH: If you could take a vacation anywhere, where would you go?
EH: I would take my car to New Smyrna and then go fishing in Florida for a week.
AH: What is the biggest fish you’ve ever caught?
EH: It was a close to 40 inch Northern Pike.
