ADRIAN -- The Kingsford Greens capped off the 2026 season with a 11-1 victory over Breckenridge Post 295 Hellcats here Sunday.
Kingsford trailed 1-0 as they entered the third inning and that is where the Greens took over as Cam Varda singled to score a run and Trent McLain had a two-run double to put the Greens up 3-1.
Kingsford added seven runs in the fifth inning as McLain singled to score a run. McLain was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Landon Ross and Luke Rice each singled, scoring a run to extend the lead to 7-1. Jack Kriegl singled on a line drive to center to score a run and Varda singled on a fly ball that scored two runs and put Kingsford up 10-1.
Trent McLain earned the win for Kingsford allowing one run on two hits with one strikeout and three walks in six innings of work.
Kingsford beat Breckenridge on Saturday as well 8-5 to force the Sunday game. The Greens also had a big 8-2 win over Hudson Post 180 on Friday.
