87th Gold Medal Classic resumes after Winter Storm Elsa

HERMANSVILLE — The 87th Gold Medal Classic resumed Tuesday night after being postponed for two days due to Winter Storm Elsa. The two-day postponement was the first one in the tournaments history.

The Action picked back up with the Got Milk junior high boys team from Stephenson defeating the North Central team 71-21. Jackson Walker had 15 points to lead the way for Got Milk. Tyler Sternhagen added 11 and Jaden Korpi had 10.

Zander Malone led the way for North Central with 10 points.

In the second game of the night, Shellby’s Quik Mart took down Jim’s Plumbing in Class EE action 79-57. Cody Gholdi led the way for Shellby’s with 31 points and Mike Polfus added 12.

Jeff Starzynski led the way for Jim’s Plumbing with 29 and Owen Keuheau had 17.

In the third game, it took overtime for Dubois Tree Service to knock off H-Town 71-60 in Class D action. Alex Ortman led the way for Dubois with 21 points. Ryan Speed led the way for H-Town with 26 points and Freddy Ware added 13.

In the final game of the night, Wilson Farms took down Wildwood in Class E action. Ty Elard and Jordan Miller each had 21 points in the victory. Tom Granquist had 18 points for Wildwood in the loss.
