HANNAHVILLE — A 16 point and 16 rebound double-double from Keenan Smith was a big key for the Hannahville Soaring Eagles as they defeated the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears 62-52 here Saturday to claim the Northern Lights League Tournament title.

Senior Sam Beaver added 24 points for the soaring Eagles with 10of them coming in the third quarter to put Hannahville up 48-43.

The Black Bears were led in scoring by junior Parker Pederson with 20 points and sophomore Tanner Peterson added 18 in the loss.

Both teams now prepare for district action starting on Monday. Hannahville will compete in District 99 while Big Bay de Noc will compete in district 100.
