ESCANABA, MI – Bay College’s Emerson Droubie has been named the MCCAA Northern Confernce Player of the Week for his play during the week of February 2-8.

Droubie (FR, Cambridge, MN) helped lead the Norse to a pair of wins over the week. On Wednesday Bay beat North Central Michigan College by a score of 98-37. Droubie scored 33 points on 11 of 20 shooting from the floor and had eight rebounds, five steals, and a blocked shot. On Saturday at Montcalm Community College he helped lead the Norse to a tightly contested 59-48 victory. He scored eight points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and had two assists and two steals.

For the week Droubie averaged 20.5 points per game, 11 rebounds per game, 3.5 steals per game, and shot 50.0% from the floor.

Droubie is the fourth Norse player to be named MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week for this season.
