ST. NICHOLAS — As the calander has flipped to 2026 Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got the opportunity to catch up with Mid Peninsula junior Jaykob Dahm to discuss a variety of topics.
Adam Hinch: So Jaykob, when did you start playing basketball?
Jaykob Dahm: I started during my eighth grade year.
AH: What do you like to do in your spare time?
JD: I like to work out and go hunting and fishing.
AH: What is your favorite subject in school?
JD: I would say English.
AH: What is your favorite food?
JD: Pizza.
AH: Do you know what you want to do when you graduate?
JD: I want to go to college for sports management.
AH: What was your favorite basketball moment?
JD: The buzzer-beater win over Big Bay de Noc during my eighth grade year.
AH: What is your favorite NFL team?
JD: I like the Detroit lions.
AH: Of the three sports you play which one is your favorite?
JD: Probably baseball.
AH: What was the biggest buck you ever got?
JD: 10-pointer.
