Meet the Athlete: Will Ingrham

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Braves are preparing for the Marinette Holiday Tournament to close out the month of December. During the Braves game against Manistique Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got a chance to sit down with Ingrham to discuss a variety of topics.
Adam Hinch: So Will. When did you get into basketball?
Will Ingrham: I started in like fifth or sixth grade a little later thab the rest of my teammates.
AH: What made basketball appeal to you?
WI: Mainly because I was tall. I was a pretty athletic kid and when we moved to america my dad said you should try basketball.
AH: So, where were you from originally?
WI: I was born in Saudi Arabia and moved to india after that then we moved to China before moving here.
AH: What do you like to do in your spare time?
WI: I like to play video games and just shoot baskets at the gym.
AH: What is your favorite food?
WI: My mom makes a really good chicken cashew dish I like.
AH: What is your favorite kind of music?
WI: I’m all over the place with music but I like a lot of rap.
AH: What is your favorite subject?
WI: Probably band or history.
AH: What is your favorite NBA team?
WI: I like the Milwaukee Bucks.
AH: Do you have a favorite player?
WI: I really like Giannis but I also like Bobby Portis.
AH: What is your favorite basketball moment?
WI: I would say the putback dunk I had in the first game that was a really awesome moment.
AH: What other sports do you play?
WI: I run track but I want to play football next year.
AH: What is your favorite movie?
WI: Interstellar.
AH: What are your plans after high school?
WI: I want to go to Grand Valley State or some other colleges depends on the situation but I want to be a physical therapist.
