These kids played well today,” Maroons coach Chad Brandt said. “They had a great week of practice and couldn’t wait to get out on the field.”
Shelpy drove deep in Menominee territory late in the fourth quarter but the Maroons forced a turnover to preserve the shutout.
“We had a lot of backups in the game on that drive,” Brandt said. “I was happy that they fought it out and preserved the shutout and now we get ready for next week.”
The Maroons will take on Pewamo-Westphalia on Saturday in Gaylord at 1 p.m.
