HANNAHVILLE — The Big Bay de Noc soccer team faced of against Hannahville on Wednesday afternoon and Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got the opportunity to talk to Black Bears senior Joey Rochefort about a number of topics in this Meet the Athlete segment.

Adam Hinch: What got you into liking soccer?

Joey Rochefort: I joined the Manistique summer league program when I was 6 years old and I fell in love with ita ta that point and My coach is great and he has been my coach for 12 years now.

AH: Between basketball and soccer, which one is your favorite?

JR: Definitely soccer.

AH: What do you like to do in your spare time?

JR: I don’t have a lot of spare time with school and preparing for college but I like to get together with friends and play basketball.

AH: What is your favorite subject in school?

JR: I love history. Learning about how the world changed from back then to now and talking to my grandparents about how things were back then is really crazy to think about.

AH: What is your favorite food?

JR: I like tacos.

AH: What is your favorite football team?

JR: The Green Bay Packers.

AH: Who was your favorite player growing up?

JR: Aaron Rodgers.

AH: What do you want to do when you get out of college?

JR: I want to get a job in Computer Science.

AH: What was your favorite memory of your soccer career?

JR: I would have to say winning a two game set at Beaver Island last year. They were rough games but we got the wins.
