Eskymos clash with Sentinels in a Big North conference matchup

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eskymos come into this weekend’s game against the Marquette Sentinels at 5-0 off of a 42-13 victory over Cheyboygan and the Sentinels come in off a win over Sault Ste Marie 48-6 on homecoming in Marquette last week.
Marquette comes in with a record of 3-2. The Sentinels have won seven straight games against Escanaba including a 28-7 win last season.
The Eskymos last win over Marquette came during the 2017 season where they beat Marquette 45-28.
Marquette is led by senior signal caller Ford Richardson and his trio of junior receivers Brody Clements, Braylon Zdunek and James Goodwin.
Escanaba is led by senior Nolan Bink at quarterback and his favorite target senior Alex Stalboeger.
The Eskymos defense has been big this season led by Jordan Gagne, Brody Ison, Keagan Braun and Owen LaBonte among many others.
The Eskymos have also excelled in the special teams unit with punt returner Bryce Bichler and kick returner Ben Sands as well as the coverage team led by Gagne, Braun and Jacob Prey.
The Eskymos also have a good ground game led by Bink and Ison among others.
The Eskymos look to improve to 6-0 on Friday with a win over the Sentinels.
