Valiquette looks to back up last year’s win at the Yooper Fall Classic

ESCANABA — The green flag drops this weekend for the 2025 Yooper Fall Classic at the Escanaba Motor Speedway.
On Friday night, each class will have an open practice followed by the king of the hill event for the street stocks and sport modifieds with each class racing for $500 to win in each class organized by Jimmy Cool. Drivers will compete in pairs until one car is left standing. Each race will be three laps in length.
On Saturday, all classes will race for increased payouts. Sport mods will race for $1,250 to win, street stocks $500 to win, super modifieds $400 to win, 600 sprints, 500 sprints and four cylinders each will race for $300 to win and the youth micro sprints will run for $200 to win.
There will also be powder-puff and mechanics races if enough people sign up. There will also be a corn roast Saturday night.
Admission for Friday night is free; donations to end the silence will be accepted. Grandstand prices for Saturday are $10.
