Scott Degnan claims Triple Crown

NORWAY — It was a hot and humid night as the super modifieds wrapped up their Triple Crown series in Norway Friday night.
Drake Degnan came away with the win on a last-lap pass on his dad Scott Degnan who came in second and won the heat race. Jesse Denome came in third and Abi Yelle and Paul Hosking rounded out the top five.
In the super stocks class, Jeremy Yelle came away with the feature win. Dean Bellmore came in second and Jesse Hendrickson finished third. Andy Secrist and Nick Anderson rounded out the top five. Bodde Johnson won the heat race.
In the late models, Joey Pontbriand picked up the feature as he came from deep in the field to secure his second straight win. Scott Stanchina came in second place on the night and Cory Cootware finished third. Joey Stankowicz and Parker Summerfield rounded out the top five. John Ostermann picked up the win in heat race action.
In the sportsman class, Troy LaFave came away with the heat and feature sweep. Travis Hulsizer came in second and Jordan Massicotte finished third. Jon Maenpaa finished fourth and won his heat race. Todd Schmidt rounded out the top five.
In the sport trucks, Grant Gilbert came away with the heat and feature sweep. Mason Calmes finished third and Aiden Zwiers finished fourth and Owen Voight came in fifth and won his heat race.
