ESCANABA — The conditions started off slow on Aug 13, then became more favorable for sailors of the Escanaba Yacht Club on Little Bay de Noc but quickly became challenging when winds shifted to the north at 10 mph causing sailors to make adjustments to the conditions.

In the spinnaker course that stretches from Sand Point to Little Bay de Noc Buoy 10 to Escanaba Buoy 1 near the Municipal Dock and finishing at Sand Point had Lucille skippered by Steve Harris finish in first place. Second place went to Hoopla skippered by Mark Meyer and third place went to Dolce skippered by John Anthony.

In the cruising course that stretches from Sand Point to Little Bay de Noc Buoy 10 to Escanaba Buoy 1 near the Municipal Dock and finishing at Sand Point had Gail Force pick up the win skippered by Troy Drebenstedt. Second place went to Gallivant skippered by Jay Hansen and third place went to Manitu skippered by David Anthony.
