Off-Road races invade Bark River International Raceway

BARK RIVER — It was a soggy opening day, but Sunday was a beautiful day at the Bark River International Raceway as the Island Resort and Casino presented the Off-Road Rumble in U.P. this weekend.

Only eight of the 19 scheduled races were run on Saturday before mother nature won the battle. On Sunday the raceway put on its complete show as well as the makeup races in the pro classes the other rained out races will be made up at the race in Crandon, Wis. at the end of the season.

Here is what went down over the weekend in each class.

In the pro buggy class, Chaden Minder picked up a win and a third place finish. Michael Meister had a second place finish in the first race and Cole Bernloehr came in second in the second race. Billy Buth finished third in the first race in the pro buggy class.

In the pro two class, Kyle Greaves picked up the win in the first race. Ricky Gutierrez came in second in the first race as well as the win in the second race. Johnny Holtger finished third in the first race and second in the second race claiming a pair of podium finishes. Ryan Best was third in the second race.

In the 1600 single buggy class, Michael Seefeldt came away with the win. Travis Trelstad finished second and Tyler Tizzle Wians was third.

In the sportsman sxs (side by side) class, Cade St.Peter and Carson Hill each picked up a win and Bryce Carlson and Hudson Houle each had a second and third place finish on the weekend.

In the stock truck class, Tyler Hoffman and Dustin Rogaczewski each picked up wins. Colt Wierzba came in second in the first race and Brian Peat was second in the second race and Kyle Jenshak came in third in both races.

In the pro sxs, Jeb Bootle won the first race. Owen VanEperen won the second race and came in second in the first race. Rodney VanEfferen came in second in the second race. C.J. Greeves and Nathan Wolff each posted a third place finish.

In the super stock class, Brian Peot picked up the win. Colt Wierzba came home with a second place finish and Nick Byng finished third.

In the mod kart class, Wesley Vande Voort and Lincoln Mandsager each had feature wins over the weekend. Dakota Akins was second on Saturday and Race Visser was second on Sunday. Braxton Wirt and Ellah Holtger each had third place finishes over the weekend.

In the pro lite class, Madix Bailey picked up the win in the first race and Connor Barry won the second race. Gray Leadbetter was second in the first race and Johnny Holtger was third in the first race as well as a second place finish in the second race. Travis Milhausen Jr. was third in the second race.

In the short course karts, Caden Wassenberg and Jax Romenesko each picked up wins in the class. Gabe Holtger came in second on Saturday and a third place finish on Sunday. Roman Tullberg finished second on Sunday and Morgan Frakes was third on Saturday.

Im the pro am sxs, Braydon Kernz picked up the win. Trent Peetz came in second and Joshua Schuiteman finished third.

In the 170 sxs class, Tucker Pankenham claimed a pair of weekend victories. Jersey Kleikamp was second in both races and Drew Gerber and Ashton Drecher each came in third over the weekend.

In the pro am turbo sxs class, Bark River native Benjamin Heighting came away with a win in the first race and Rory Navin won the second. Rick Schroeder came in second in the second race and Riley Cadenhead and Mark Hanson each had a third place finish.

In the 200 sxs class, Grayson Forseth picked up the sweep winning both races. Axel Dreher came in second in the first race and third in the second race for a pair of podium finishes. Gaborick Geyer was third in the first race and came back to finish second in the second race.

In the pro spec class, Chris Van Den Elzen picked up the win in the first race. Wyatt Miller came in second in the first race and followed it up with a win in the second race.Avery Hemmer came in third in the first race, while Nick Visser came in second in the second race and Draxton Szymik finished third.

In the 570 sxs class, Raymond Deininger came away with the win. Madisyn Winistorfer was second and Jack Betts finished third.

In the pro four class, Jimmy Henderson and C.J. Greaveseach came away with wins in the class. Adrian Cenni came in second in the first race and Mickey came in third in the first race. Johnny Greaves came in second in the second race and Kyle Chaney came in third.

In the youth sxs class, Kody Krantz picked up a pair of wins on the weekend. Emma Lytle came in second on Saturday and Alexander Walraven came in third. Issac Otto finished second on Sunday and Logan Fritzinger came in third.

In the 1600 light buggy class, Connor Schulz picked up the win on Saturday. Dylan Rohloff came in second and Adam Heikkila came in third, Corey Stingle came away with the win on Sunday. Eugene Reinke Jr. came in second and Aiden Wandahsega came in third.
