Armageddon on Wheels delivers high adrenaline action

ESCANABA — Fans got a taste of high adrenaline entertainment on Saturday night as the the 12th Annual Armageddon on Wheels made its return to the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
Drivers competed in bump and run races as well as a tough trucks competition figure eight bus races and a gauntlet race.
In the four and six-cylinder bump and run race, Gerald Lanaville came away with the feature win as he made the pass on Qwentin Johnsen with four laps remaining. Johnsen picked up a heat win with Zach Hanson picking up the other heat win.
In the eight-cylinder bump and run race, Tyler Baker came away with the sweep winning in heat and feature action. Frisco Barnett won the other heat race.
In the figure eight bus races, Rodnet VanBrocklin made a big pass on last year’s winner A.J. Johnson to complete the heat and feature sweep. Tyler Winling also won a heat race in bus race action.
Trent Kurth battled his way through the field to take the win in tough truck action and Andy Street picked up the win in the gauntlet race.
Athena Kozel and Elliott Miller made appearances from Monster Truck Throwdown and entertained the crowd with some monster truck freestyle.
