ESCANABA — As the Escanaba Motor Speedway winds down on the 2025 regular season. Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got a chance to catch up with sport compact driver Dylan Lanaville to discuss a variety of topics.
Adam Hinch: What got you into racing?
Dylan Lanaville: It’s a family tradition, what got me into it was my grandpa “Spud” Gerald Willis he’s the one who got it all started and its moved down from generation to generation.
AH: What do you like to do away from racing?
DL: Just hang out and spend time with family.
AH: Do you do any hunting or fishing?
DL: I used to go all the time when my grandpa was hunting.
AH: What is your favorite football team?
DL: The Dallas Cowboys.
AH: Who is your favorite NASCAR driver?
DL: Kyle Busch.
AH: What is your favorite food?
DL: I love barbecue.
AH: Are you a Coke or Pepsi guy?
DL: Coke.
AH: What was your favorite moment in your racing career so far?
DL: I have a number of them but winning was first race is a big one.
