ESCANABA — Some call him Lenny. Some call him Badger. A few most likely call him “oh no, not this guy again”.

Coaches in the Great Northern Conference, however, voted to give him a new name — Pitcher of the Year.

Escanaba junior Lennox Peacock was named Pitcher of the Year for his efforts in the 2025 season. Peacock, who possesses a fastball on the verge of eclipsing 90 mph, went 4-3 with a 1.59 ERA, a WHIP of 0.886 and registered 90 strikeouts to 16 walks while surrendering 10 earned runs across 44 innings of work.
