Patient Braves earn win over Broncos
BARK RIVER — A total of nine errors hindered Bark River-Harris baseball as it dropped its game against Gladstone 17-2 here Monday.
The Braves got on the board first as Davin Mattonen singled to score a run. The Braves added to the lead in the second inning as Landon VanTassell hit a groundball and reached on an error, scoring one.
The Braves added five runs on zero hits in the fourth inning as Austin Pepin and Gavin Frossard each drew a walk, scoring a run and Trevor Thorbahn hit a sacrifice fly to score a run. The Braves led 7-0 after four innings.
The Braves added eight runs in the sixth inning on zero hits and nine walks.
Mattonen earned the win for the Braves, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and one walk in five innings of work.
