ESCANABA — As the countdown to the first green flag nears, Escanaba Speedway finished the final phase of the off-season improvements as the new scoreboard was installed on Wednesday.

“It shows we are growing as a club,” Board of Directors member Reggie Lantagne said. “It will make it easier for fans to keep up with the action on the track.”

Students and instructors from North Country Electrical Line and Heavy Equipment School along with Roy Ness Contracting and Sales Inc, Sunbelt Rentals, Circle K and Berger & King Inc. all assisted on the project that will definitely give the fans a way to keep on the races over the course of the season.

The scoreboard, in addition to the new clay received in the fall and a new logo, gives the Escanaba Motor Speedway a fresh look going into the 2025 season.

“We continue to make improvements to better the track for our fans,” Lantagne said. “These moves show the track heading in a good direction into the 2025 racing season.”

The Motor Mayhem Car Show will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025 at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. The season opener will be Saturday, May 24.
