Errors costly as Braves fall to Green Bay Preble

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Growing pain continue for Gladstone baseball as it committed five errors in a 5-1 road loss to Green Bay Preble on Friday.
The Braves (5-10) committed two errors in the first inning as Preble took a 2-0 lead after one. Two more errors popped up in the third where Preble ballooned its lead to 4-0.
Senior Isaac Ketchum was tagged with the loss, allowing four runs (one earned) off two hits with four walks and six strikeouts in three innings and drove in the Braves lone run off a two-out RBI single in the fifth. Junior Trevor Thorbahn allowed one earned run off two hits with a walk and three strikeouts in three innings of relief.
Landon VanTassell finished 2-for-3 with a run scored.

The Braves host Menominee for a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Don Olsen Field.
