Bay softball swept by Lakers

SHEPHERD, Mich. — Bay College softball wrapped up its 2025 season this weekend, dropping all four games against Mid Michigan finishing 1-24 on the season. This season will serve as a big learning experience as most players were seeing their first college softball action.
The Norse dropped both games on Saturday falling 13-4 and 22-0. On Sunday the Norse fell 9-0 and 14-0 in the two games.
In the first game Saturday, the Lakers scored 12 runs over the first three innings.
Nina Bower and Krista Carello had the only two hits of the game for the Norse as Bower singled in the second inning and Carello singled in the third inning.
Bri Halfmann earned the win for the Lakers allowing four runs on two hits with five strikeouts and four walks.
In game two on Saturday the Lakers collected 22 runs on 22 hits highlighted by Alexis Mielke who went 4 for 4 with four RBIs in the contest.
Tessa Cameron got the win as she threw a no-hitter with six strikeouts in five innings of work.
In the first game Sunday, Phoenix Shaw singled in the second inning to put the Lakers on the board. The Lakers added four runs in the third and fourth innings in the 9-0 shutout.
Halfmann got the win allowing zero runs on one hit with three strikeouts and four walks.
In the final game of the weekend, the Lakers used a nine-run second inning to take down the Norse. Cameron got her second win of the weekend allowing zero runs on zero hits with five strikeouts in three innings of work.
