ESCANABA — For the second time in his young career, Tanner Rae picked up the win in the youth micro sprints to capture his second Yooper Fall Classic championship.

“It felt good to get the win,” Rae said. “The track was nice. There were some bumps but it was a fast track.”

Rae started fifth out of six on the feature grid but quickly got to the front making the pass on Finn Bower for the lead on lap three. Rae had a slight bobble on lap five, but was able to correct it and hold on to the feature win.

“I have to thank my sponsors,” Rae said. “It would not be possible without them.” Rae’s sponsors include Bloniarz Equipment, Bloniarz Farms and The Carpet and Drapery Shoppe.

Rae’s victory at the Yooper Fall Classic was his only appearance at the Escanaba Speedway in 2024. Rae comes off the 2023 season, where he had nine top-five finishes and three wins which included last year’s Yooper Fall Classic and on repeating as opening-night champion.

Rae looks to return to regular season action in 2025 at Escanaba Speedway for what will be his fifth season of racing.

Starting at $3.50/week.
