GLADSTONE — Gladstone’s Van Cleve Park played host to the 8th Annual US Log Rolling Open on Saturday.
Taking home the gold were Livi Pappadopoulos in the women’s log rolling division, and Rookie Marcus Heineck in the men’s log rolling division. Anthony Polentini claimed gold in the men’s boom run with Ellie Davenport claiming it for the women.
The competition featured thirty professional lumberjack athletes from across the country which translated to remarkable competition between veterans and rookies battling it out to see who would come out on top.
Both men’s and women’s log rolling finals featured current reigning US Log Rolling Open Champions. Livi Pappadopoulos, current Women’s World Champion & now six-time US Log Rolling Open Champion, swept Ellie Davenport for a 3-0 victory. On the men’s side, Anthony Polentini, the four-time US Log Rolling Open, was defeated by Heineck, his first professional win.
