ESCANABA — It was another day at the Escanaba Speedway but it wasn’t to Amelia Hart as she picked up her first career feature win marking the second consecutive week in which that occurred.

Hart is in her third season in the youth micro sprints but has been coming on strong since the last half of the season last year. “It felt good out there,” Hart said. “I enjoy racing because you can go fast.”

Hart had seven top five finishes last season including four third place finishes on June 10, July 1, and Sept. 16, in Escanaba and on Aug. 22, at Eagle River Speedway.

Hart thanks her sponsors Superior Times Resort, Au Train Canoe and Kayaks, Swallies Plumbing and Compound.

Hart will be back in action Saturday at Escanaba Speedway as she goes for win number two.
