FELCH — The Bark River-Harris girls made no mistake here Tuesday, running away with the track and field title in the North Dickinson Booster Club Invitational with 158.33 points.

Stephenson was runner-up with 102 and the host Nordics edged Carney-Nadeau 66-58 for third place.

Crystal Falls Forest Park edged BR-H 138-129 for the boys’ championship. Third-place Florence-Niagara, Wis. scored 78.5.

BR-H senior McKenzie Hoffmeyer captured the girls’ 100-meter dash in 13.22 seconds, the 200 (27.1), placed second in long jump (14-9) and helped the Broncos take the 800 relay (1:52.97).

Broncos’ junior Marissa Ives placed second in the 100 (13.52), followed by C-N senior Samantha Kedsch (13.74).

BR-H senior Julia Olson copped the 400 (1:02.69) and was runner-up in the 200 (28.2), just .05 second ahead of Ives.

Ives, also part of the 800 relay, added a third in the 400 (1:06.81).

Junior Hope Varoni placed second in the 800 (2:49.55) and third in the 1600 (6:07.19) and helped the Broncos take third in the 3200 relay (11:38.78).

Senior Lauren Zawada took second in high jump (4-6) and third in the 100 hurdles (18.21) and 300 (51.6) and helped the winning 1600 relay (4:30.39).

Stephenson senior Kayela Putnam won pole vault (8-6) and BR-H freshman Mira Johnson was runner-up (8-0) and helped the Broncos win the 400 relay (57.23).

Carney-Nadeau junior Mariska Laurila captured shot put (34-10) and discus (101-4) and helped the Wolves place second in the 400 relay (57.28).

Kedsch copped long jump (16-1 1/2) and senior Kelsie Smith was second in shot (29-6 1/4) with both also part of the 400 relay.

BR-H freshman Ben Knauf won the boys’ 800 (2:18.86) and 1600 (5:03.53) and helped the winning 3200 (9:18.23).

Junior brother Wes Knauf was also part of the 3200 relay and placed second in the 1600 (5;08.92) and 3200 (11:09.39).

Classmate Justin Bergquist captured the 100 (12.35) and was part of the winning sprint relays.

Freshman Gionni McDonough proved BR-H with victories in the 110 hurdles (17.51) and 300 (46.77)

Also placing second for the Broncos were sophomore Matthew Marohnic in the 400 (57.95), junior Cam Adams in the 800 (2:23.06) and freshman Dan Schmitt in pole vault (8-6).

Powers North Central was led by junior Lane Gorzinski who finished runner-up in the 200 (25.57) and third in the 100 (12.39) and Hannahville placed third in the 3200 relay (9:47.31).

The Jets also placed in shot with junior Spencer Willa runner-up (38-2.5) and senior Max Nason third (35-9.25).
