Howes, Young earn MHSFCA All-State honors

ESCANABA — Gladstone seniors Vinny Howes and Nate Young added another honor to their high school football resumes.

Both earned a spot on the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Division 6 All-State team. Howes earned first team honors at defensive line while Young earned a spot on the first team at quarterback.

Howes and Young weren’t the only UP athletes to earn a place on this list.

Negaunee seniors Evan Gauthier and Kai Lacar earned first-team honors at defensive line and defensive back, respectively. Calumet senior Alan Bjorn earned first-team honors at linebacker.
