GNC season awards listed
ESCANABA — The Great Northern Conference finished its 2023 season and released its end of season awards.
The Team of the Year was shared by The Escanaba Eskymos and the Gladstone Braves. The Coach of the Year was Joe Darmogray Gladstone. Senior Tyler Darmogray of Gladstone was Pitcher of the Year. The Offensive Player of the Year Was Escanaba junior Bon LaChance and the Defensive player of the year was Gladstone senior Braden Sundquist.
The First Team Infield includes, Nate Young Gladstone junior, Henry McRoberts Kingsgord senior, Eli Gardner Escanaba junior, Trent Lawson Escanaba senior, Easton Miller Marquette senior, Nick Pantti Marquette junior and Andres Finley Kingsford sophomore.
The First Team Outfield includes, Logan Peterson Marquette senior, John Soderman Gladstone junior, Nick Chiu Escanaba junior, Matt Kaven Escanaba senior and Joey Weber Kingsford senior.
The First Team Catcher was Dallas Cobe Marquette senior and the First Team Pitcher is Issac Sarles Marquette junior and Gavin Trevillian Kingsflord sophomore.
The Second Team Infield includes Gibson Jezewski Marquette sophomore, Ben Johnson Escanaba junior, Aedan Creten Gladstone senior, Casey Alworden Gladstone sophomore, A.J. Martin Marquette freshman and Nick Novara Kingsford sophomore.
The Second Outfield include Gavin Grondin Kingsford sophomore, Nolan Hendrickson Kingsford sophomore, Noah Peterson Gladstone senior, Kaiden Brown Escanaba senior and Jake Toyras Marquette sophomore.
The Second Team Pitchers include Lennox Peacock Escanaba freshman and Brennan Detiege Gladstone senior and the Second Team Catcher was Chase Cloutier Escanaba junior.
Honorable mention athletes include Drew Olsen Menominee junior, Wyatt Scott Kingsford junior, Gavin Frossard Gladstone sophomore, Peyton Davis Marquette freshman, Luke Mead Marquette senior and Issac Ketchum Gladstone sophomore.
