HOUGHTON — The Gladstone girls won 6-of-8 individual events, but settled for third place in a triangular swim meet here Thursday.

Houghton won with 112 points, followed by Kingsford 100 and Gladstone 90.

“We have a small girls’ team that swims very well, but don’t have the depth other teams have, especially in the relay events,” said Braves’ coach Tom Desy.

Gladstone’s Reese Herioux and Ava Getzloff were double-winners. Herioux took the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races and Getzloff copped the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley.
