ESCANABA — Sophomore Alaina Trudeau was named the MCCAA Northern Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 7-13.

The Gladstone High School graduate scored a career-high 25 points in Bay College’s 79-50 victory over Minnesota North-Mesabi Range Community & Technical College In the Bay Fall Classic II event Friday night.

She hit 10-of-16 field goals and collected seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Trudeau also led the Norse with 11 points in Saturday’s 44-40 loss to Madison (Wis.) College.

She averaged 18 points, seven boards, 1 1/2 assists and two steals through the weekend.

Trudeau became the first player of the week for Bay, which was competing as an independent in Region 13 before joining the Michigan Community College Athletic Association this season.
