Bay stays unbeaten
IRONWOOD — The Bay College men remained undefeated through six basketball games this season, posting a 66-60 triumph over Minnesota North College-Vermillion here Sunday.
Tyrel Creger scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Norse, who whipped Minnesota North-Hibbing Saturday.
Genesis Kemp also hit 14 points Sunday. Justin Nelson and Lamar Grayson had 11 apiece.
Bay sank 26-of-68 field goals and had 10 turnovers.
The Norse scored six in double digits Saturday, led by Baril Mawo with 19 points and eight boards. Jacquez Oversteet scored 18 points. Nelson hit 13. Kemp and Colin Hudson tallied 11 each and Jaylen Flaniken had 10.
Creger collected six assists for the Norse, who held a 53-30 rebounding advantage, hit 38-of-68 field goals and committed 14 turnovers.
Schuyler Pimental led the Cardinals with 18 points. Ray Washington=Battle, Jr. had 10.
Hibbing finished 19-of-61 from the floor and had 17 miscues.
The Norse visit Dakota County (Minn.) Technical College Saturday at 3 p.m.
