Esky falls to Gaylord
GAYLORD — The Escanaba Eskymos continued to struggle here Saturday in a 39-14 football loss to the Gaylord Blue Devils.
Esky, which dropped to 1-5, trailed 18-7 at halftime in this non-conference contest.
The Eskymos scored in the second quarter on Casey Bray’s 24-yard pass to Adam Reimer.
Gaylord (5-2) rushed for a season-high 320 yards, led by Ty Bensinger who ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Russell Hush added 99 yards and two interceptions.
The Blue Devils, who host Gladstone Friday, finished with three interceptions.
Esky travels to Alpena Friday.
