HARRIS — The Bark River-Harris Broncos turned to their seniors at crunch time here Thursday night as they outlasted the Stephenson Eagles 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-12, 15-13) in a key Skyline Central Conference volleyball match.

BR-H was trailing 13-11 in the fifth set before a block by Kaylee Red Bear trimmed its deficit to point.

Red Bear tied the score with a kill before the Broncos secured the decision on a pair of Eagles’ miscues.

A block by Red Bear brought the Broncos within 11-10 and a service ace by senior Carley Varoni tied the score.

“Carley has really been working on her serving,” said BR-H coach Jen Ives. “She really stepped up and motivated the other girls and I think Kaylee really stepped up. When Kaylee does that, she’s fun to watch.”
