Rose makes top 15

GRAYLING — Sophomore Zach Rose led the way for the Bay College men, placing 15th in Kirtland Community College’s Firebird Invitational cross country meet here Friday.

Rose covered the eight-kilometer course in 28 minutes, 10 seconds.

He was followed by sophomores Jahlani Thornton in 58th (31:44.99) and Jaylen Flaniken 83rd (35:03.15) and freshmen James Hughes 87th (35:44.73) and Austin Watchorn 104th (41:16.54).

Muskegon C.C. freshman Kyler Dean won at 26:29.91

Lansing C.C. took the team title with 58 points, followed by Grand Rapids C.C. 60 and St. Clair C.C. 86.

Bay took 12th among 14 complete teams with 295.

The Norse resume in Friday’s Oakland C.C. Invitational.
