He was followed by Kevin Gendron, John Nevala, Steve Douglas 36, Doug Beauchamp 38, Jake Sinclair, Mike Koster and Alex Sullivan 39.

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Country Club’s Women’s League was led by Barb Scott with 42.

She was followed by Meghan Casey 44, Mary Bergman 45, Jessica Bray 46, Wendy Bratonia 47, Rose Fisher, Alyssa Guindon, Shianne Uskilith 48, Connie Kangas and Michelle Bink 49.

WEST BRANCH — The Escanaba Little League All-Star minors fell 5-3 to Midland Northeast in an elimination game to decide who would continue on to the state quarterfinals.

Escanaba took a 3-1 lead in the third thanks to a double from Jayce Braun that scored Drew Anderson and Vincent DeSalvo-Bougie and a sacrifice from Cameron Jacques, but a Midland pitching change halted any further Escanaba success.

Midland added four more in the bottom of the inning to seal the game and its spot in the quarterfinals.

Braun and DeSalvo-Bougie shared pitching duties, with Braun exiting in the fifth and DeSalvo-Bougie entering in relief.

Braun allowed five runs (four earned), five hits and one walk while striking out four.
