ESCANABA — As expected of a softball team in the Division 2 final four, Escanaba earned its fair share of spots on All-Region and All-State lists recently.

Two of the Eskymos earned All-State recognition and invites to the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game July 13 at Davenport University.

Lizzy Sliva and Erica Moore were selected to the All-State list at outfield and first base, respectively.

Sliva and Moore reprised their roles on the All-Region list alongside Carney Salo (outfield), Paxton Bullen (second base), McKayla Mott (pitcher) and Grayson LaMarche (pitcher).

Mott and Salo also graced the All-State list with honorable mentions at their respective positions.

The Eskymos, who also earned Academic All-State, fell in an MHSAA Division 2 Semifinal to eventual state champions Stevensville Lakeshore June 16 to conclude their season.
