Gladstone selected as GNC Team of the Year

ESCANABA -- The Gladstone baseball team received top billing in the recently released Great Northern Conference baseball awards.
The Braves were selected as the team of the year, and coach Joe Darmogray received the Coach of the Year award.
Escanaba's Hunter Lancour was named Pitcher of the Year, with a 0.894 ERA, a 4-1 record and 38 strikeouts.
Selected to the First Team was Escanaba seniors Jared Hanson and Scott Hiller, Esky sophomores Bon LaChance and Ben Johnson, Gladstone senior Cam Kelly, Braves juniors Tyler Darmogray and Braden Sundquist, Kingsford junior Henry McRoberts, Flivvers freshman Andres Finley, Marquette juniors Dallas Cobe and Logan Peterson, and Menominee senior Austin Melke.
Making up the Second Team was Esky junior Trent Lawson, Braves senior Nick martin, Gladstone junior Brennan Detiege, Braves freshman Casey Alworden, Kingsford seniors Sawyer Pugh and Dennis Neuens, Flivvers freshmen Garrett Brown and Gavin Trevillian, Marquette senior Desmond Mullen, Redmen sophomores Easton Miller and Luke Mead, and Maroons senior Brody Waara.
Receiving honorable mentions were Escanaba seniors Matthew Zimmerman and Nick LaFave, Gladstone senior and freshman Hunter Solis and Gavin Frosard, and Menominee senior Kennison Bolvin.
