ESCANABA -- Carney-Nadeau senior Tessa Wagner earned Co-Player of the Year on the recently released girls basketball Skyline Central All-Conference list alongside North Dickinson senior Ashton Hord. Wagner also got a nod as a Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
15 other area players also earned spots on the list, and Bark River-Harris and Carney were varsity conference champions for large and small schools, respectively.
Bark River senior Cara Zawacki made First Team alongside Superior Central seniors Riley Johnson and Emma Rutter. Carney junior Shae Linder joined them.
On second team, BR-H senior Aspen Fredrick and sophomore Lauren Zawada earned a spot alongside North Central sophomore Gracie Kleikamp, Rapid River junior Megan Dausey and Carney freshman Grace Maule.
Zawacki also made the All-Defensive team with Rutter, Frederick, Johnson and North Central's Zoe LaBonte.
Rapid River notched the team sportsmanship spot, and Superior Central's Charlotte Charlebois took home the free throw award.
