Braves honor 10k Shot Club

Members of the Gladstone Braves 10K Shot Club were honored Feb. 17, during the halftime of the Gladstone vs. Gwinn girls basketball game in Gladstone. The club, which began four years ago, is a summer program in which student-athletes chase after the goal of making 10,000 shots over the course of 15 weeks.

The 11 girls to achieve this goal this year were sixth-graders Aubrey Gerau (10,000), Lauren Pare (10,070) and Malia Quigley (10,247), seventh-graders Ella Howes (10,049), Lola Vargo (10,106), Hayden DeMay (11,175) and Mercedes Koski (29,810), eighth-grader and shot leader Jenessa Platt (45,300), freshmen Alexa Wetthuhm (12,880) and Mayce Hanson (34,800) and senior Chloe Hanson (11,005).
