HARRIS -- The Bark River-Harris Broncos added to the festivities of senior and parents night in Harris Tuesday night by earning a 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-15) win over the North Dickinson Nordics.

Broncos coach Jen Ives said both teams came ready to play.

"On our end, we wanted to be very disciplined on defense and keep our offense up-tempo. We executed both well. Our seniors really took control of the game to keep the communication steady," Ives said. "For North Dickinson's end, they played strong defense and picked up many of our hits."

Ives added that Bark River was able to advantage of the opportunities presented to them to score points.

"We were able to transition many of the freeballs they sent us into points, and that really helped us take the win," she said. "Overall, we played strong and are peaking as a team at the right time."

Aspen Frederick led Bark River in kills with 11 while Tressa Ives in digs with 22, Carley Varoni in aces with six and Alsaka Peterson assists with 15.

Up next for the Bark River-Harris Broncos is a road trip to Crystal Falls to face the Forest Park Trojans on Thursday.
