The Escanaba Bears 13U travel baseball team earned first place in the Marinette 13U Tournament finishing Sunday. The Bears lost their first game in pool play 1-6 to Kewaunee, but then gained wins over Mid County 11-6, Peshtigo 13-6 and Marinette 16-15 leaving them at 3-1 in pool play.

They faced Marinette in the championship game winning 7-6 in extra innings in the bottom of the 8th with a walk off hit by Taylor Asgaard.

The team is coached by Jeremy Peacock, Nick Bink and Michael Rymkos.
