Terrace Bluff ladies

GLADSTONE -- With a score of 41, Caron Salo led the Terrace Bluff Ladies League Tuesday night in Gladstone.

Sarah Carlson 44 was second with Betty Fleury and Wendy Hathaway tied for third at 46.

The remaining scores were Courtney Nevela, Judy LaFleur, Debbie Valiquette at 47, Mary Johnson, Nancy Sabor, Jami Pond, Denise Wilson at 48 and Deanne Cavadeas and

Juanita Selin at 49.

Oaks ladies

GLADSTONE -- Becky Papaik carded 40 to head the scores for the Oaks Ladies League Monday in Gladstone.

Karen McCorkle and Debbie Peterson had 42to follow tied for second.

Sharon Pinar, Pat DeGrave, Morgan Whitehead, Sally Erkkila, Rosie Spindler, Patti Kivioja and Amanda Norkoli had 43, Mary Clement 44, Sue Cossette 45, Robin Schwartz and Holly Sundman 46, Denise Porath and Jami Pond 47 and Kirsten Vandeville and Krystal Robinette 48.

NTC Day 3 canceled

Locals finish well

AUSABLE -- The third day of the 2021 Cabela's National Team Championship in Ausable was canceled due to a Small Craft warning from the U.S. Coast Guard and forecasted 10 foot swells.

Despite the cancelation, several local anglers placed within the top 25 -- which would have allowed them to compete in the final day if it had not been canceled.

The team of Bryant Dault (Escanaba) and Ben Spriks (Wells) finished the best of the local competitors in fourth.

Don Alimenti (Escanaba) and Steve Martin (Escanaba) placed 12 while Patt Cassidy (Rapid River) and Bryan Anderson (Wells) came home 24.
