ESCANABA — Post-season basketball honors continued to pour in for Escanaba senior Nicole Kamin as she was recently selected Player of the Year in the Great Northern Conference.

Kamin had already earned a variety of honors during the 2021 season, including Upper Peninsula Player of the Year.

First-team selections include Menominee seniors Emma Anderson and Erin Burnette, Gladstone senior Megan Crow, Marquette junior Maria Millado and Esky sophomore Carney Salo.

Second-team picks are Esky sophomore Mari Bink, Kingsford senior Christina Glodowski, Marquette senior Averie Kelly and Menominee senior Jenna Nolde.

Those on the all-defensive team are Barrette, Crow, Nolde, Gladstone senior Ahna Larson and Esky junior Maddy Monkevich.

Honorable mention recipients include Esky junior Bailey Barron, Menominee seniors Josie Hofer and Makenzie Wellner, Larson and Gladstone junior Claire Van Ginhoven and Marquette senior Ryana Warchock and junior Brooklyn Michelin.

Millado was selected Defensive Player of the Year.

Menominee’s Lucas Chouinard was named Coach of the Year, and the Maroons, who finished 7-0 in the GNC, were named Team of the Year.
