KINROSS — Hannahville’s Joe Larson put together a solid senior basketball season and was rewarded for his efforts in balloting by the Northern Lights League coaches here Tuesday.

Maplewood Baptist senior Micah Bailey was selected Player of the Year with Larson, classmate Dominic Bonnee, Beaver Island senior Elisha Richards and Munising Baptist senior Nick Exelby joining him on the first team.

Bailey averaged 22.9 points and 14.2 rebounds a game in the conference. Larson averaged 10.3 points, 6.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds with Exelby at 12.6 points and 18 rebounds and Bonnee (11.2 points and 4.7 rebounds).

Second-team selections are Big Bay de Noc senior Travis Johnson, Hannahville senior Mason Thunder, Beaver Island senior Quintan DeLaat, Ojibwe Charter junior Marquis Harmon and Munising Baptist sophomore Ryan Swift.

Those receiving honorable mention include Beaver Island senior Zander Holmes, Maplewood Baptist junior Josh Sullivan, Ojibwe Charter junior William Parish, Mackinac Island Dominic Morse and Big Bay freshman Joel Gillespie.
